Welcome to the 2024 Orange County Summer Swim League season. This year we will be offering two amazing summer swim teams in San Juan Capistrano. Our Marbella Manta Rays program will run out of Marbella Country Club, and our SOCA Stingrays program will run out of JSerra Catholic High School.

Both swim teams will be part of our novice Summer Swim Program and will compete against other local swim teams. In this 8-week program, swimmers between the ages of 5-18 will be instructed on proper techniques for each of the four strokes, as well as racing starts, turns and finishes. New swimmers will learn the basics in a fun and healthy environment and older swimmers will build on their foundation of prior experience with interval training, drills, and competitive race strategies.

Our Schedule
June 3 - July 25, 2024 (no practices or meets July 1-4 - Holiday Break)
Practices are Mondays - Wednesday with all competitions on Thursdays

Competition Dates: 6/20, 6/27, 7/11, 7/18, 7/25

Practice Groups and Times for Marbella Manta Rays Swim Team

• 3:30-4:10pm Bronze group (ages 5-8) - beginner to 1 year of experience; must be able to float on front and back and be able to swim 10 yards of freestyle

• 4:15-5:00pm Silver group (ages 9-10) - 1+ years of experience, must know at least two competitive strokes and be able to complete 50 yards without stopping

• 5:00-6:00pm Gold group (ages 11-16) - must be able to swim 100 yards continuously and be proficient in at least three strokes

Practice Groups and Times for SOCA Stingrays Swim Team

• 12:00-12:40pm Bronze group (ages 5-8) - beginner to 1 year of experience; must be able to float on front and back and be able to swim 10 yards of freestyle

• 12:45-1:30pm Silver group (ages 9-10) - 1+ years of experience, must know at least two competitive strokes and be able to complete 50 yards without stopping

• 1:30-2:30pm Gold group (ages 11-18) - must be able to swim 100 yards continuously and be proficient in at least three strokes

Please note: If your swimmer is unable to attend the 1st week due to school scheduling conflicts, we will prorate accordingly.

The coaching staff for both the Manta Rays and Stingrays have a tremendous amount of swimming experience. Each team will have a head coach along with current and former high school swimmers who are trained and certified and ready to have a great summer!

Please note, for our upcoming 2024 summer swim season, our Manta Rays program will be open to Marbella Country Club Members ONLY. Depending upon how many swimmers we have signed up on our Manta Rays Swim Team, Members may be allowed to sponsor one non-member guest to join the team with them. Priority will be given to the families that sign up first in the event we have additional spots available.
